Charles Higueras, FAIA, is a distinguished architect and accomplished public servant, whose career has spanned over four decades of significant contributions to the City of San Francisco and beyond.
As the former Director of the Project Management Bureau at San Francisco’s Public Works Department, his tenure was marked by the effective management of critical seismic improvement initiatives and his leadership of the Justice Facilities Improvement Program. His civic leadership further extended to his chairmanship of the San Francisco Public Library Commission, where he oversaw the successful execution of 24 major library projects, and his service as chair of the board for the Center for Architecture + Design.
Through his participation on various governmental and non-governmental boards, Mr. Higueras has consistently exerted significant influence on the built environment and civic affairs.
